U20WWC: Falconets qualify for round of 16 after Venezuela victory.
The Falconets made it through to the round of 16 of the ongoing 2024 FIFA Under 20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia, after a thumping 4-0 victory over Venezuela in their final Group D game on Saturday night.
The quartets of Amina Bello, Chiamaka Okwuchukwu, Flourish Sebastine and Joy Igbokwe, were all on target for the Falconets, as they cruised past Venezuela last night.
The victory against Venezuela means the Christopher Danjuma’s led Falconets, finished second in Group D with six points, after beating South Korea 1-0, before a 3-1 defeat to Germany.

They however, finished level on six points with the Germans who lost 1-0 to the South Koreans in their last group D game, but took second spot by virtue of an inferior goal difference.
Nigeria will face Group E winners in the round of 16 in Bogota on Thursday.
