Marcus Rashford rubbishes ‘ridiculous’ rumours of him forcing a Man Utd exit
Marcus Rashford rubbishes ‘ridiculous’ rumours of him forcing a Man Utd exit. Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has hit out at “ridiculous” reports speculating on his Manchester United future.
Having been ousted from four of Ruben Amorim’s matchday squads across December, a period where he also admitted his desire for a new challenge, Rashford is believed to be available for transfer in January.
However, reports in England claimed Rashford had enlisted the help of a new agency to try force through an exit from Old Trafford, but the 27-year-old wasted little time in shooting down that rumour on social media.
Taking to his social media, the England international posted a screenshot of the aforementioned story accompanied with the caption below:
“Been a lot of false stories written over [the] past few weeks, but guys, this is getting ridiculous.”
“Never met with any agency and don’t have any plans to.”
Rashford remains available for transfer if a club is willing to meet Manchester United’s reported £40 million asking price.
Offloading Rashford could prove advantageous for United this month, especially after manager Amorim acknowledged that the club needs to sell players to generate funds for new signings. As one of the few players who could command a substantial transfer fee, Rashford is a key option in this scenario.
