CONFIRMED: Paul Pogba to depart Juventus
CONFIRMED: Paul Pogba to depart Juventus. Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli has shut the door to a possible return to the squad for French midfielder Paul Pogba.
Pogba, who is under contract until the summer of 2026, is eligible to return for Juventus in March 2025 after his doping ban was reduced from four years to 18 months, and recently admitted he would happily agree to a pay cut in order to play for Juventus again.
Unfortunately for Pogba, Giuntoli has now confirmed there will be no chance for him returning to the team again, as Juventus have opted to move in a different direction.
“Our position is clear. Pogba has been a great player, he has been out for a long time and last year we were forced to invest in other players,” Giuntoli told DAZN.
“So now the squad is complete as it is.”
Pogba and Juventus are expected to discuss a contract termination for the high-earning Frenchman, with both parties now accepting a fresh start is the only possible move.
Reports have suggested Pogba could join up with Roberto De Zerbi at Marseille if he does become a free agent, while a switch to Major League Soccer with Los Angeles FC has also been suggested in the media.
