Cole Palmer scoops another Premier League award. Chelsea forward Cole Palmer has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for September.
Palmer scooped the award after a memorable and truly remarkable month for the England international, which included his incredible four-goal haul in 21 minutes against Brighton & Hove Albion, becoming the first player in the league’s history to net four times in the first half of a match.
The England international also grabbed an assist in the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace and scored in the 3-0 win against West Ham United, leading the division for goal involvements in September. Palmer previously won the Premier League’s Goal of the Month prize in August for his wonderful lob in the 6-2 demolition of Wolves.
Harvey Barnes, Luis Diaz, Gabriel Magalhaes, Ryan Gravenberch, Raul Jimenez, Dwight McNeil and Ollie Watkins had been nominated for the POTM award, but it was Palmer who claimed it for the second time since joining Chelsea, after his immaculate April earlier this year.
