Aurelien Tchouameni responds to Liverpool interest. Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni has revealed he has no interest in leaving the Spanish capital for a move to Liverpool, according to reports.
The French La Liga star has missed just one game for Madrid so far this season, after picking up an injury that saw him ruled out of their 2-0 win over Real Sociedad. He’s been an integral part of their squad since his arrival in the summer of 2022, helping Madrid lift the coveted league title and Champions League trophy in 2023/24.
He has, however, been linked with a move to Liverpool after the Reds failed to steal his signature previously. Tchouameni has always been on the radar of the Premier League side since his impressive Monaco days, instead opting for a move to Madrid instead of Anfield in 2022.
But it seems the Frenchman has no interest in leaving behind the Spanish champions and would rather commit to his future under Carlo Ancelotti. According to Matteo Moretto, Tchouameni does not want to join Arne Slot’s side and would rather continue his trophy-laden spell in Spain.
The 24-year-old made 38 appearances for Madrid last season, registering three goals and an assist while his side went on to achieve four pieces of silverware, the La Liga title, the Champions League trophy, the UEFA Super Cup and the Spanish Super Cup.
Los Blancos have enjoyed a strong start to the 2024/25 campaign, sitting just behind leaders Barcelona on 21 points. They’re set to face Celta Vigo after the international break on 19 October.
